The Geek hopes you all had a good Christmas, and I’m hoping we can pay-off some of the expense today with 3 TV Tips from Kempton.
Mia’s Storm has the beating of most of these on form or collateral form, and she’s really impressed in two runs over fences so far. She travelled sweetly in both those races, jumping like an experienced handicapper, and showing real stamina at the business end over 3-miles. Ballyoptic could give her something to think about if putting in a clear round, but he has a nasty habit of hitting one or two obstacles.
Tip: Mia’s Storm win @ 11/4 Black Type or 5/2 BetBright, Bet365, Coral
Buveur D’air should win the Christmas Hurdle easily on his best form but, as his odds are prohibiting for all but the big-hitters, I’m happy to try and land the forecast with Buveur D’Air fancied to beat The New One. The New One has already finished second in three renewals, and should again occupy that spot with the other three runners rated far inferior.
Forecast Buveur D’Air to beat The New One @ 2/5 Bet365
Might Bite has been favourite for some time for the King George Chase, which is no surprise considering, if he hadn’t fallen at the last in the 2016 Kauto Star Novices Chase, he would have clocked a time around six-seconds quicker than Thistlecrack recorded when winning the 2016 King George. On the prevailing good-to-soft ground, he should be able to slip his field early, and will hopefully have enough left at the end of the race to keep the closers at bay.
Tip: Might Bite 2 Points Win @ 6/4 Totesport, Black Type
