There is plenty of Premier League action on TV this weekend, and we’ve tips for the televised matches between Tottenham and Arsenal, Man City and Leicester, and Southampton and Liverpool.
Tottenham vs Arsenal (Saturday 12.30, BT Sport)
Tottenham took a while to adjust to playing their home games at Wembley this season but have done their best in recent weeks to turn it into the fortress that White Hart Lane was last season. They’ve won five and drawn one of their last six home games, including when looking by far the better team when beating Manchester United 2-0 in their last home game. Arsenal also have a good recent home record, but their away-form leaves plenty to be desired with just one win in their last seven away games, including defeats at Swansea and Bournemouth in their last two away games. Both games between the two teams were won by the home team last season and, with Tottenham above Arsenal in the Premier League Table, a win for Tottenham must be the bet.

Man City vs Leicester (Saturday 5.30, Sky Sports)
A draw at Burnley last time did little to stop the momentum of Man City, and there will be plenty of takers about the 1/4 for a Man City win as the Premier Leaguer leaders have won their last five home games with considerable ease. They beat West Brom 3-0, Newcastle 3-1, Watford 3-1, Bournemouth 4-0 and Tottenham 4-1, leading at half-time in all 5 matches. Eighth-placed Leicester remain a danger team for most clubs but, with problems surrounding Ryad Mahrez, and a recent loss at Everton, they’ll be hard-pushed to get anything from the game. Therefore, at bigger odds, it could be worth backing over 3.5 goals, and also Man City half-time/full-time.

Southampton vs Liverpool (Sunday 4.30, Sky Sports)
There has been a real mixture of results in matches involving Southampton and Liverpool in recent seasons, with Southampton enjoying 1-0 wins in their two-legged League Cup tie in 2017. Southampton have also taken four points from the last two renewals of this fixture, though lost the previous three. Liverpool were also by far the better team earlier this season when they won 3-0 in the reverse fixture. However, Liverpool have dropped a couple of clangers on the road recently, so they’re not a convincing bet at odds-on. However, an interesting statistic is that only one team has scored in their last five away games. That becomes even more interesting when you consider that only one teams has scored in the last five matches between Liverpool and Southampton. It’s odds-against that both teams don’t score, and that looks the value-bet.
