There are some tasty TV games to look forward to this weekend, and we’ve tips for Manchester United vs Liverpool, Chelsea vs Crystal Palace, and Bournemouth vs Tottenham.

Manchester United vs Liverpool (Saturday 12.30, Sky Sports)

There’s little love lost between Manchester United fans and Liverpool fans at the best of times and, as there seems even less love lost between current manager’s Mourinho and Klopp, that makes this top-of-the-table clash even more interesting. However, the fact the two managers pride themselves on being able to outwit the other has led to some pretty boring matches between their sides in recent times. The last four matches between them have all ended in draws, with two finishing 0-0 and two finishing 1-1, and we can probably expect more of the same. Manchester United were forced to attack in their last match after going 2-0 down to Crystal Palace, but five of their last seven matches have still produced less than 2.5 goals. It’s a similar story with Liverpool who, despite being capable of scoring loads of goals, three of their last five matches have also produced less than 2.5 goals. Therefore, I’ll be playing both the draw and less than 2.5 goals.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace (Saturday 5.30, Sky Sports)

Chelsea’s impending trip to Barcelona will surely be weighing heavily on Antonio Conte’s mind and it will be interesting to see if the Chelsea Manager dares to rest key players now they have fallen five-points behind Tottenham in the battle for a Champions League spot for next season. Recent results between the two sides suggest he probably can’t as Crystal Palace have won the last two games between the two teams and have won 2-1 on their last two visit to Stamford Bridge. Roy Hodgson will be annoyed that his side threw away a two-goal advantage against Manchester United in their last game but should be able to use the fact they went 2-0 up in the first place to motivate his players to drag themselves out of the relegation-zone. Palace are double-figure odds to win and that’s big enough to tempt me in with Chelsea feeling the pressure after recent defeats to both Manchester clubs.

Bournemouth vs Tottenham (Sunday 4.00, Sky Sports)

Mauricio Pochettino must be wondering why his Tottenham side won’t be in the next round of the Champions League draw but it just goes to show that you can’t afford to make silly mistakes in the Champions League against an experienced side like Juventus. Therefore, it remains to be seen as to whether Tottenham can block out that painful mid-week memory as they travel to Bournemouth knowing that three-points will keep them in pole position to win a Champions League spot for next season. Bournemouth can’t afford to take their foot of the gas either though as they’re only six-points above the relegation-zone. The pair have shared a couple of low-scoring affairs recently but, with three of their last six games producing at least four goals, I’ll take a chance that Tottenham arrive in attacking mood and make this an entertaining game.
